  • Spryndle, Pre-9/11 Bush had pushed through the tax cuts along with the education reform package. Especially given the closeness of his election victory, he was pretty successful in enacting his legislative agenda.

  • When did anyone claim they weren't told in advance that Katrina might breach the levees, etc? Bush obviously was told. Which is one reason he was urging state and local officials to evacuate BEFORE the storm.

  • Right. And the notes apparently say at that point Libby knew. Doesn't say he found out from the CIA briefer. And his testimony was that he found out from various reporters prior to Novak publishing. So no obvious inconsistency. :shrug: Sorry to disappoint all the Fitzmas believers.

  • It's kinda unclear from the story, but Libby's testimony was that he learned of Plame's name from discussions with reporters - not from published reports. In other words, he testified that he talked with various reporters before the story surfaced and some of them told him Plame's name.

  • Danker, Not sure where you are getting your assumption that I'm not calm. The issue is one of quality of information. THE point of a news aggregator site like this is to provide a filtering system to improve the quality of information.
